Swood is the name of the plugins produced by French company EFICAD for SolidWorks. This suite includes two SWOOD Design and SWOOD CAM plugins, which are powered by powerful tools that best shape modeling of wooden structures.

SWOOD Design: A unique plug-in for connecting designs that, with a complete booklet of all bonding tools, hinges and edges, provides all the barriers for precise, seamless design. Also called SWOOD Box provides designers puts the Mac design provides fast shelves and drawers for them. 

SWOOD CAM: Plugin is the documentation of the parameters of structures and models as well as programming for CNC machines. This plug is completely integrated with the 3D model and is used to manage cutting and cutting operations, drilling, and more.

With SOLIDWORKS and SWOOD, you get an intuitive 3D CAD system that combines ease-of-use with powerful modeling capabilities while covering wood industry needs. SWOOD Design helps to design faster introducing shortcuts for connectors, edge-banding and materials management. It also brings a customizable library of components that can adapt a box environment, and a unique feature called "SWOOD Box" is useful for storing and droping shelves, drawers and doors. SWOOD CAM, for its part, deal with production documents and CNC programs. SWOOD CAM is thought to be a native of woodworking router technologies. For example, it can handle and encode worktable but also generate trajectories up to 5 axis or optimize drillings using a multi-spindle head. Its unique integration within SOLIDWORKS allows SWOOD CAM program definition to be fully associative with 3D models and directly embedded into SOLIDWORKS files. Nesting is also available to SOLIDWORKS and is directly based on 3D parts. Because of our long experience and collaboration with the different CNC brand, many post-processors have already been developed. 4 years after its international introduction, SWOOD has convinced end-users in more than 20 countries.
