Patran is the world's most widely used pre-post
processing software for Finite Element Analysis (FEA), providing solid
modeling, meshing, analysis setup and post-processing for multiple solvers
including MSC Nastran, Marc, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, ANSYS, and Pam-Crash.

An option is also available for direct import from and export into parasolid format supported by several CAD systems. Advanced Geometry Creation, Editing, and Feature Recognition
Patran also has a set of advanced geometry tools for creating direct end-to-end CAD capabilities for generating finite element model geometry.
Patran also has a sophisticated feature recognition feature that allows users to delete or edit holes, fillets, and chamfers. For 3D solid geometry, the existing meshes and loads will be automatically re-applied to the model after a change is made to the geometry.
Support for Multiple FEA Solvers
Patran is tailor-made to support both MSC Nastran and MD Nastran to enable the use of common finite element models and to perform advanced engineering analysis and enhance designs using Nastran's Design Optimization and Topology Optimization capabilities.
In addition to MSC Nastran, Patran also supports other solvers developed by MSC (Marc, Dytran, and MSC Sinda) and also solvers like Abaqus, Ansys, LS-Dyna and Pamcrash, allowing you to stay in a graphical user environment even if You have to use multiple solvers for various analyzes.

Installation guide
1.
Run the MSC_Calc.exe file from
within the Crack folder and make the license.dat by typing Y and pressing the
Enter key.
2. Copy the file generated in the previous step to Windows C drive and do not delete it as long as you use this software.
3. Install the MSC Licensing program by running msc_licensing_11.13.1_windows64.exe as Run as Adminstrator. When you apply for the license, select the license.dat file.
4. Install the original software by running the Setup.exe file. In the installation process, when you reach the stage of determining the license server, enter the 27500 @ yourhostname (first, the number is 27500, followed by the @ followed by the name of your computer instead of the Hostname) in front of the license.
