Description
Autodesk Vault is a tool for managing data in CAD software. The program integrates with other inverter engineering software , AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Electrical, Revit , Civil 3D , and helps the design team monitor progress and manage different versions of the project in team environments. This program allows team members to reuse redesigned designs and avoid reworking and reinventing the wheel from scratch. Program users can save and search CAD information such as parts designed in Inventor or AutoCAD DWG and DWF files . Even program users are able to save and search non-CAD files such as Word documents , Excel sheets and other file types.
This software is based on the SQL database and stores all the collected information in a central database. One of the good features of this program is the registration of different versions of files. Each member of the team or you make changes to the file. Autodesk Vault stores all these changes in a database. It is all recorded on what date and by whom the change was made to the file. You can search all versions and use them when needed. To record changes, each user must check-out after completing their work to save the current version of the file in the database. This program is a comprehensive solution for storing data among Autodesk products and it has done well.
