FunctionBay Multi-Body Dynamics, also known as MBD for short, is an add-on module for the powerful ANSYS that is used to simulate short and transient behaviors in a mechanical device. This tool is produced by FunctionBay company and is fully compatible with Ensys engineering software. The MBD interface provides you with a fully professional modeling experience and allows the user to quickly simulate using precision bodies.
The FunctionBay Multi-Body Dynamics module also has an automatic and intelligent load bearing system and can accurately measure the performance of the device. The MBD tool can be used to understand the dynamic behavior of mechanical assemblies and generate the amount of load required for structural analysis. The software also has scalability compared to various Multi-Body Dynamics software and allows data transfer to RecurDyn software with one click.
